How many is ONE BILLION?
Uncategorized Tagged Inference November 9, 20111 Billon ???? What do you think of when you hear the number 1 BILLION? A common thought is to think of money – or maybe you think of population.
But exactly how much is a billion? IT IS A EXTREMELY LARGE QUANTITY – but could you imagine how much space would be needed to contain a billion things?
It is estimated that the World Population is now 7 Billion. What does that mean, and does our Planet have enough space for 7 Billion people?

What if I told you that by the end of 2011 our population on Earth will have grown to 7 billion? In the 1800s our population was 1 billion… 245 years later in 2045 our populations will be 9 billion! And our life lines are expanding so we are living longer. Every second our population is growing, 5 people are born per second and 2 people die per second so we are gaining 3 people to Earths population all the time. Now a days more people are living in cities than rural areas. We have 21 megacities around the globe. And by 2050 70% of us will be living in them. But space is not the issue or the main point of this video. The main point and issue is balance and how to find it. Some people on Earth are living in the streets or dont have fresh water to drink. We are not perfect but we need to try harder to be than what we are doing right now, for our word and our future.

Our worlds population is changing every second. Every second five people are born and two people die.
In the year 1800 the worlds population was 1 billion. Over time the population has increased and by the end of 2011 is expected to be 7 billion. Out of that 7 billion many lack adequate sanitation, and clean drinking water, plus a very small percentage (5%) consume almost a quarter of the worlds energy. A mega city has a population of at least 10 million people.
In 1975 there were 3 mega cities. Now in 2011 that number has multiplied by 7, and by 2050, almost 3 quarters of the worlds population will be living in a urban area.
7 billion people could fit standing shoulder to shoulder in the city of Los Angeles. However its not space we need. We all need balance. So how out of 194 countries, and over 7000 languages, with billions of people could we still be unbalanced? With so many still without clean drinking water and adequate sanitation. There’s still a long way to go. So why don’t we start to make a change in our world today? We’re only losing time and the population is rising, which means the percentages are only growing. So why wait?

Seven Billion People
Seven billion people in one world is a lot of people. But did you know by 2045 we could have 9 billion people on our planet?!
With 194 countries and over 7,000 languages we do have a lot of people, but all 7 billion of us could fit in Los Angeles! Our world is filling up fast! Every second 5 people are born and 2 people die. We even live longer now! In 1960 we lived for around 53 years, we now live 69 years. As our world keeps growing we now have 21 megacities. (Population- 10 million people)
I think this video is trying to show us that as more people, megacities and cars keep coming, our world is getting polluted and we need balance. We can do this by using electric cars, solar panels, and wind turbines to help balance our planet.
Overall, our world is big and constantly growing. We need to balance the number of resources available so that everyone has what they need to survive on this planet.

What if I told you that right now our world has 6 billion people and the population is growing even bigger this second! What would you say?
Well it’s true, in the 1800 there was approximately 1 billion people on the planet! But soon in 2045 there will be approximately nine billion people living on earth!
Our planet is growing bigger and bigger every second, and it won’t stop until the end of the world! Every single second, and I mean every second 5 PEOPLE ARE BORN AND 2 PEOPLE DIE!
You would think by now and later in the future we need more space but it’s… BALANCE we need! I mean it’s sad and a little bit scary to think that 20% of use don’t have clean drinking water, in 2050 70% of us will be living in megacities and that a percentage of us can’t even afford clean clothes, a house , food and are living in the streets!
We need balance to keep our world together! What can you do to keep our world in shape, under control, together and on task!!!

Our world has alot of people and it’s changing every second. every minute the worlds population is adding 300 people to it(5 people a second), but also every second 2 people die.
in 1800 the population was only 1 billion, now 130 years later (2012) the population has increased by 6 billion and is now at 7 billion, in 2045 thepopulation may be 9 billion. Did you know that if all of the people on this earth stood shoulder to shoulder we could fill up the whole city of los Angoles.
7 billion is alot! it would take you 200 years to count to 7 billion and in steps it would take you around the world 133 times.
This video is trying to explain that, 7 billion is alot!!!!!
The world is getting over populatted and we don’t space we need balance.

7 Billion people in the world living right now in 2011 here are some important facts about 7 billion people in the world. Every year the population increases by 1 billion. In los Angeles 7 billion people take up all that space shoulder to shoulder so its not space we need its balance. In a second 5 people are born and 2 people die and while we speak the population is increasing by 1. 200 years it would take to count to 7 billion and that’s 133 times around the world. Also before we had 3 mega cities and now there is 21 in the world, right now 7 billion people are living in 194 countries.

In the video 7 Billion its message is that in the world there are 7 billion reasons to think about 7 billion. Truly, on Earth we don’t take up as much space because if we stood shoulder to shoulder in Los Angeles we would fit and take up much less space. So the message is we are not using that much resources, water or food you might think that’s wrong because a lot of people say to save the electricity and foods the reason for that is it’s for future generations.

Our population is getting bigger, as big as 7 billion. You are 1 in 7 billion. We grow quickly considering that 5 people are born and 2 die every second. We don’t take up that much space. We shoulder by shoulder could fill Los Angeles. The problem is that we aren’t sharing our world. 5% of us use 23% of our water supply. We have plenty of room we just have to share. 7 billion people, 1 earth.

Did you know that your 1 out of 7 billion and by the times its 2045 you will be 1 out of 9 billion…..
I think this video is saying that our world is becoming over populated so we need to think about what you do and think about the future. I think this because more people live in cites than rural areas and knowing 5 babys are born and 2 people die less than a second that means are population is at 7 billion and that could fit in a citie of las angles even tho there are 197 countrys its not about space its about the balance.

In the video “7 Billion there is tons of info about the past and future of the World’s population. By the end of 2011 the population will be 7 Billion or more. In 2008 more people were living in cities than rural areas for the first time ever. Some interesting points of the video are that all of the people on earth could fit into Los Angeles.
In 1975 there were 3 mega cities. A mega city is a city with the population over 10 million. Now there is 21 mega cities. By the year 2051 70% of us will be living in a mega city. Did you know that 7 billion steps will take you around the world 133 times. Also, the length in which the average person live is going up ever year.
So think about it, If the population is 7 Billion right now. What will it be in thousands of years? Millions? That is my summary of the Video “7 Bilion”.

7 billion people on earth.
The 7 “billion” video means to me the world is about balance not space. We need balance not space because 5% of us consume 28 % of the worlds power that is over 1/4 of the worlds power . The true concern of the video is balance not space . By the time it’s 2045 there will be 9 billion people on the earth .That is what the video means to me.
